TEAM UP MENTORING-THE UP CENTER
Team Up is an award-winning youth mentoring program that began in 2008. Youth are paired with positive adult role models who commit to spending several hours per week for at least one year with their mentees with the goal of forming a trusting friendship that helps set the youth on a successful path to adulthood. Pastor Eric Crawley
Senior Pastor
Pastor Eric was born and raised in Emporia, Va. and has been preaching the Gospel since 2005. He faithfully served in ministry in Emporia, Va. for over 17 years. In 2014 Pastor Eric began to feel a strong urge to do more in the kingdom of God and he found himself in spiritual warfare for several years. Finally in 2019, The Dwelling Place was birth as an idea through a series of dreams and a life changing scripture. (Haggai 1:4) Pastor Eric began to "hit" the streets to tell people about Christ. Although his efforts seemed futile, the strong urge to continue serving did not fade. In 2020, Pastor Eric finally left from serving in Emporia and began serving in other areas of the kingdom. In May of 2021, The Dwelling Place Ministries became a reality as an established ministry. Pastor Eric has a heart for God's people and is determined to put a hole in the enemy's camp. He is a teacher who believes in reaching God’s people no matter their background or history. Pastor Eric is the husband of one wife (Pastor Michelle) with three handsome sons. He believes in mentoring young men who aspire to make a difference in the world. The Crawley's have lived in Suffolk, Va. since 2007.
Pastor Michelle Crawley
Lead Worshipper
Pastor Michelle has been using her voice to break down the barriers of sin since she was a young girl. Born and raised in Emporia, Va. she served in ministry there for over 17 years. During her tenure as a servant and leader, Pastor Michelle lead praise and worship and assisted Pastor Eric with the marriage ministry, "Then Comes Marriage." Pastor Michelle is an ordained minister and has an evangelistic oil on her life. Pastor Michelle has a prophetic anointing and has been able to bless many through God's gift. She possesses a motherly quality that allows her to mentor the young and old alike. Pastor Michelle is the wife of one husband (Pastor Eric) and has three handsome sons. Pastor Michelle is an Early Childhood Educator with over 20 years of experience. She is the owner and director of The Crawley Family Center located in Suffolk, Va.
